In the past I've used several different types of wood for the neck,
 but
I now almost always use maple. The "Stichter style" head is my
favored peg head, but I can adapt the shape to your taste. The scroll
style has proven quite popular with customers. Just let me know what
you have in mind and we can usually accommodate you.
  I
can make
 the
sound hole any shape and place it anywhere on the gourd. It does
not affect the volume in any significant way.
Lately I've been using the star shape as pictured in the first of the 3
sound hole pictures.
